【摘要】:ThispartofISO16269specifiestheproceduresforestablishingapointestimateandconfidenceintervalsforthemedianofanycontinuousprobabilitydistributionofapopulation,basedonarandomsamplesizefromthepopulation.Theseproceduresaredistribution-free,i.e.theydonotrequireknowledgeofthefamilyofdistributionstowhichthepopulationdistributionbelongs.Similarprocedurescanbeappliedtoestimatequartilesandpercentiles.NOTEThemedianisthesecondquartileandthefiftiethpercentile.SimilarproceduresforotherquartilesorpercentilesarenotdescribedinthispartofISO16269.
