【摘要】:TheaccuratemeasurementofpHinatmosphericwetdepositionisanessentialandcriticallyimportantcomponentinthemonitoringofatmosphericwetdepositionfortrendsintheacidityandoverallairquality.Atmosphericwetdepositionis,ingeneral,alowionicstrength,unbufferedsolution.Specialprecautions,asdetailedinthistestmethod,arenecessarytoensureaccuratepHmeasurements(1).3Specialemphasismustbeplacedonminimizingtheeffectoftheresidualliquidjunctionpotentialbias.ThistestmethodisapplicableonlytothemeasurementofpHinatmosphericwetdeposition.Itsuseinotherapplicationsmayresultininaccuracies.Fig.1providesafrequencydistributionofprecipitationpHvaluesmeasuredinconjunctionwithanationalmonitoringprogramwithintheUnitedStates.ThesedataareanindicationoftherangeofpHvaluescommontoatmosphericwetdeposition.FIG.1FrequencyDistributionofMeasuredLaboratorypHofAtmosphericWetDepositionFromthe1984NationalAtmosphericDepositionProgram(NADP)/NationalTrendsNetwork(NTN)1.1ThistestmethodisapplicabletothedeterminationofpHinatmosphericwetdepositionsamplesbyelectrometricmeasurementusingeitherapHhalfcellwithareferenceprobeoracombinationelectrodeasthesensor.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
