【摘要】:Thisdocumentdescribesatestmethodforthedeterminationofthebindercontentofsamplesofbituminousmixturesbyignition.Assuch,itisanalternativetothemoretraditionalmethodofextractingthebinderusingsolvents.Themethodcanbeusedforevaluationofmixturecompositionbecausetheremainingaggregatecanbeusedfordeterminingaggregategradationanddensityprovidedexcessivebreakdownoftheaggregateparticlesdoesnotoccuratthetemperaturereached.Theresultscanbeusedforprocesscontrolorchecksonthecomplianceofmixtures.However,theneedforcalibrationofamixtureoritscomponentmaterialsbeforeananalysiscanbecarriedoutmakesthismethodeasiertousewithregularlyusedmixturesratherthanwithanextensiverangeofdifferentmixturesfromdifferentaggregatesources.Thetestmethodisequallysuitablefortheanalysisofmixturescontainingunmodifiedormodifiedbindersbecausethemethodhastobecalibratedforeachmixturebeingcheckedwhencalibrationonmixturesisused.Incaseofdoubt/dispute,thedeterminationofthecalibrationvaluebasedonlaboratory-preparedbituminousmixtures(seeA.1andA.2)isthereferencemethod.
