【摘要】:1Thispracticecoversthepreparation,testing,andproce-dureforusingtheceric-ceroussulfatedosimetrysystemtomeasureabsorbeddoseinwaterwhenexposedtoionizingradiation.Thesystemconsistsofadosimeterandappropriateanalyticalinstrumentation.Forsimplicity,thesystemwillbereferredtoastheceric-ceroussystem.Itisclassifiedasareferencestandarddosimetrysystem(seeISO/ASTMGuide51261).Ceric-cerousdosimetersarealsousedastransfer-stan-darddosimetersorroutinedosimeters.2Thispracticedescribesboththespectrophotometricandthepotentiometricreadoutproceduresfortheceric-ceroussystems.3Thispracticeappliesonlytoγrays,Xrays,andhighenergyelectrons.4Thispracticeappliesprovidedthefollowingaresatis-fied:4.1Theabsorbed-doserangeshallbebetween5×10and5×10Gy(1).4.2Theabsorbed-doserateshallbelessthan10Gy/s(1).4.3Forradionuclidegamma-raysources,theinitialpho-tonenergyshallbegreaterthan0.6MeV.Forbremsstrahlungphotons,theinitialenergyoftheelectronsusedtoproducethebremsstrahlungphotonsshallbeequaltoorgreaterthan2MeV.Forelectronbeams,theinitialelectronenergyshallbegreaterthan8MeV.Note1—Thelowerenergylimitsareappropriateforacylindricaldosimeterampouleof12-mmdiameter.Correctionsfordosegradientsacrossanampouleofthatdiameterorlessarenotrequiredforphotons,butmayberequiredforelectronbeams(2).Theceric-ceroussystemmaybeusedatlowerenergiesbyemployingthinner(inthebeamdirection)dosimetercontainers(seeICRUReport35).4.4Theirradiationtemperatureofthedosimetershallbebetween0and62℃(3).Note2—Thetemperaturecoefficientofdosimeterresponseisknownonlyinthisrange.Foruseoutsidethisrange,thedosimetrysystemshouldbecalibratedfortherequiredrangeofirradiationtemperatures.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappro-priatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplica-bilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.note:2Theboldfacenumbersinparentheserefertothebibliographyattheendofthisstandard.
