【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscoverthemeasurementoftheparticlesizeofplasticmaterialsinthepowdered,granular,orpelletedformsinwhichtheyarecommonlysupplied.Asthesetestmethodsutilizedrysieving,thelowerlimitofmeasurementisconsideredtobeabout38microns(No.400sieve).Forsmallerparticlesizes,sedimentationmethodsarerecommended.Twotestmethodsaredescribed:TestMethodA-Thistestmethodusesmultiplesievesselectedtospantheparticlesizeofthematerial.Themeanparticlediameteranddistributioncanbedeterminedbythistestmethod.TestMethodB-ThistestmethodisanabbreviatedversionofTestMethodAconductedwithafewspecificsieves.Thistestmethoddetermines"percentpassing"or"percentretained"onagivensieve.TestMethodBisapplicabletomaterialswhichdonothaveanormalparticlesizedistributionsuchaspelletsandcubes.Thevaluesasstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesaregivenforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1--ThereisnotechnicallyequivalentISOstandard.
